In 1943 the first setting so far is Denmark. Copenhagen is where the characters live in the story. What is the time period?
The synopsis is that the soldiers are getting very suspicious with the Jewish people living in Copenhagen.????
Here are a few similarities and differences between Annemarie and Kirsti. One similarity is that they are both sort of brave. And, a difference between them is that when one is happy, one is stubborn. Can you give an example for the story to prove this about each of them?

Label your synopsis with the chapters it covers and date you write it, Alison.
The synopsis for the fifth and sixth chapters is that when Ellen's parents go some where to hide from the soldiers, Ellen is to stay at Annemarie's apartment room. While she is staying there, some angry Danish soldiers look around Annemarie's apartment for an signs of Ellen's family.
